Help Celebrate and Preserve Our History
Celebrating and preserving the Mennonite story is central to the mission of the Manitoba Mennonite Historical Society (MMHS).
We seek to foster an understanding of and respect for the history and beliefs of the Mennonite people in the past and present, and to challenge them to give new expression to this heritage in the future. For just $20 annually, you can play a vital role in supporting this important work.
Your membership directly contributes to:
- Key Events and Commemorations: Supporting projects such as the cross-country tour celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Russlaender Mennonites’ arrival in Canada, our historical bus tours, and a recent documentary honouring 150 years of Mennonite settlement in Manitoba.
- Historical Publications: Helping to publish significant works like The Historical Atlas of the East Reserve and Prosperity Ever, Depression Never – Steinbach in the 1930s, which preserve and share critical stories from our past.
- Monuments and Memorials: Assisting in the creation of monuments like those at Fort Dufferin and Schanzenfeld, which commemorate the experiences of our ancestors.
As a member, you’ll receive three issues of Heritage Posting annually, packed with news, research, and stories from the Mennonite community. Additionally, you’ll enjoy exclusive invitations to MMHS events and become part of a passionate group committed to Mennonite history.
Join us today in this meaningful mission—become a member and help ensure our history lives on!
